After spending 20 years in the computer industry, from troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment in the military on a ship, mastering numerous software programs, working for a large telecommunication Fortune 50 Corporation, and completing a Bachelor of Science, Information Technology - Network and Telecommunications Degree, my passion for Internet Marketing was born.

Stop the Traffic Hype, I Want to Get Off

Organic SEO (Free) vs. Paid Traffic - Your REAL Costs

Are you tired of calling online advertising companies who overcharge you to get supposed "free" traffic? Do they make promises and you didn't see any results? I feel your pain, because I've been there personally. I've spent thousands of dollars and received nothing for my money.

Answer: For many reasons. Let's start with your ad. How are the keywords targeted to your product or service? What is your domain name? Does it relate to your Headline and text in your ad?

Question: Yes. My ad looks good and the text in my ad relates to my product or service, but I'm still not getting any sales. What else am I doing wrong?

Answer: If you are getting plenty of clicks, and you THINK your ad and domain name are not the problem, then you need to look at your landing page. Why should someone buy from you when they get there?

Question: Come on. I followed all the "rules," and I know those aren't any of the problems! Give me more. Tell me what else I am doing wrong.

Answer: Okay. How many ads did you place? Did you…and here is the BIG QUESTION…did you TEST?

Question: Test? Test what? Test how? I don't know much about that. I learned how to place an ad, come up with some key words, and send them to my web site. That was time consuming enough!

I can't afford thousands of dollars to get organic (free) traffic to my site right now. And Google Ad Words is taking me to the cleaners, and my shirt isn't even getting washed! Am I supposed to just give up now? No one is ever going to find my web site now.

Answer: No. You never give up if you have properly researched your product or service and found there IS a demand for it that has minimal competition offering a solution.

But that is another avenue you need to have followed BEFORE you even started your venture. Research is imperative to your success.

Back to our initial subject--there are plenty of ways to get immediate traffic to your site, but you need to do it smartly. Instead of paying $1 to $10, or even $50 per click, how about paying .50 or less?

Question: But those are cheap clicks. What kind of potential customers am I going to get for that price? What about that old saying, "You get what you pay for?"

Answer: Funny, isn't it? You are paying an arm and a leg at the highest rate, but you weren't getting any return on your investment. So why give your hard-earned cash to line Google's shareholder pockets? You can get more when you pay LESS?

Question: Okay, okay. I'm obviously doing something wrong. If you can really help me, can I afford YOU? Or is this just another scam?

Answer: Actually, my friends all tell me I'm stupid (yes, that upsets me) because I help so many people with their web sites, that I should be charging a ton of money for it. But that's just not who I am. I don't take advantage of people, but I do ask to be compensated for my time and expertise. I am a very fair business person.

Question: Okay then, tell me already. What can you do for my Internet business to get me highly targeted traffic for my product or service?

Answer: All right. First, I will call you on the phone (it literally does not matter where you are) and we will go over your web site from its source code, to your products, services, and landing page.

I will thoroughly analyze your target market and research all related keywords.

This is where my expertise goes above and beyond most people’s online marketing and technical education. My research and tools tell me what people are looking for, exactly how they are looking, when they are looking for it the most during the year, and how many of them want your product or service.

Certain key words are used for “window shoppers,” and others are used for actual customers who are ready to buy now! Do you know the difference?

Do you have this knowledge and these tools? If your answer is no, your key words are not going to be effective and you might as well walk up to a stranger and say, “Here, I don’t need this money, you can have it.”

Only after all this has been done, will I then set up your own Google AdWords account (or log in to your current one) and implement a highly targeted, highly optimized, low-cost traffic generating campaign to your site.

Answer: You will obviously be paying for the traffic you get set up with Google through your own account.

I want you to have full control over your Google AdWords account.

Also, I want you to login after I've set up your account to see what key words people are using, and how much you are paying for them for each term to come to your site.

Question: Okay, I pay for my traffic. Obviously, I agree to pay for my own traffic. But what is your fee?

Answer: As I said, I'm not going to get rich helping people and businesses one-to-one like this, but I really enjoy teaching people and helping them succeed. My services for this initial Google AdWords highly targeted keyword campaign set up is only $497. If you’ve shopped around, you know my fee for doing all of this is insanely low!

I spend many hours researching your products, services, web site, source code, competitor's key words and source code, how much your competitors pay for their clicks, and more! This takes education, skill, and in-depth telephone consultations with my clients getting to know their mind set, and their customers.

Question: So you set up my account, optimize it, and teach me everything you just mentioned. Then what?

Answer: If you aren't comfortable going it alone after that, I will continue setting up new campaigns for you for the same website (these are imperative to your continued success), testing, tracking, researching, and getting you the highest click-thru-rate and lowest cost per action possible.

I will actually be testing this price right now at an extremely low cost of only $127 per month. This will include one new campaign per week each month. Do You Like Confetti

Remember those streamers in a roll we used to unwind as a child?

Then we would grab a roll of tape, stand up on a chair and try to stick that long streamer to the ceiling (which we couldn't reach so we stuck it to the wall instead) and make it reach all the way to the other end of the wall? Gosh, I always had to get another roll to make it reach to the other side.

Ahhhh, birthdays, surprise parties, holidays...those were the good ol' days, eh?

Well, I met another gentleman at The System Seminar who still knows how to have fun, and makes sure everyone else does, too!

He'll probably get mad at me for mentioning him, but how can I NOT?!

Sorry, John, but you are much too awesome not to tell everyone about you!

I'm learning that all these "secretly successful Internet guys" really do want to be kept secret. The majority of them don't want any fame, recognition, or notoriety.

John Jaworski, The Confetti Guy, is just that guy. What a sweetheart of a man he is, inside and out.

Inspiration and Speed

How many mentors have you had in your life?

I've had a few.

The Lord is a constant inspiration for me.

My Grandfather was the first.

But we have "business mentors" who inspire us throughout the years.

I've had a couple fantastic bosses (Grant L. Clark,
Corporate Attorney at SAIC and Jerry Anderson, Sr Technical Director at AT&T) to whom I owe a debt of gratitude.

Without their pushing me to continually strive, never settle, and be better than others who surround me in business, I wouldn't be where I am today.

That leads me to Lloyd Irvin. No, wait. I'm jumping ahead of the story. Sorry!

First, I was led to Travis Tollestrup. How did I meet Travis and who is he?

I received an e-mail saying "Is Dan Kennedy coming to San Diego?" Being a Dan Kennedy fan, I opened it immediately!

That was the start of my newfound friends and fast track I needed which still motivates me today to a more lucrative Internet career. Travis is the Internet Business Advisor (IBA) for Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer for the Riverside, California, area. Unfortunately, Dan wasn't "coming to San Diego," but I did join the GKIC Inner Circle which Travis hosts so I could meet with like-minded people.

It turns out, Travis loved my ambition, motivation, drive, and actual implementation regarding my Internet business in Menifee. You see, most people just "learn" about things, but they never implement anything. That is the biggest downfall, and I've fallen prey to it myself!

Well, Travis had a meeting in Washington D.C. with Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, and all of the other IBA's for their area across the United States. We were considering working together, so Travis invited me along on the trip!

I didn't have any vacation time at work, but I called my boss with nothing to lose and asked if I could have the week off without pay. Could I afford that with a $3,000 a month mortgage? Heck, no! But this was the opportunity of a lifetime to meet Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, and a host of other like-minded business people!

My boss said yes! So I was off to Washington D.C., and Travis was kind enough to purchase my plane ticket and hotel room. He's a great entrepreneur and really nice person!

There I sat...only a few feet away from Dan Kennedy. Wow! Then Bill Glazer. Wow! Then I was getting a cup of tea and there was Dan Kennedy staring right at me saying hello! Someone pinch me!!!! I felt like a little school girl and my mother just took me to a candy store! Dan and Bill were very nice, and they had a great sense of humor. Their Vice President, Howard, was an absolute sweetheart. I learned a lot that weekend.

Travis leaned over to me at one point and said, "You see that guy sitting behind us? He made 2 million online last year, and he's only been online for about a year and a half." I was like, "No way!"

So of course, being the inquisitive, pestering, New Jersey girl that I have always been, I turned around and looked at him. He didn't seem very friendly, but he kind of smiled. You could tell he was a reserved, quiet person. So I passed him a note. That's where it all began. Wow! Did I even sleep that weekend?

I asked him how he made his money. He told me. Wow! Then I got mad at myself.

Why? Because everything he was doing was everything I paid thousands of dollars to learn over the past two years--but I didn't implement those particular things. I always thought, "That's too easy, it will never make any money." But it was, for Lloyd Irvin!!!

I had no idea who he was, but he sure did push me in the right direction. My online research changed, my tools I used changed...I changed. It was time to change my focus. No...wait...it was time to FOCUS!

Yes, I still buy things I don't need. If there's new technology out there, I want it! I have to have it. Most women want makeup or shoes. I want more marketing, advertising, software, eBooks, books, and Internet technology strategy products! That's why I recently bought the domain name SEOQueenGeek.com I haven't done anything with it yet, and I'm up to 427 domain names, but I'll get to it ;o)

Annnyyyhoooo, I wanted to learn more from him, but it was time to go home. I tried to pick his brain and much as possible, but he was pretty reserved. When I left and went back to California, I decided I would find out more about him and find his web sites! I would copy the theory and strategy....yeah...that was what I was going to do!

He had two guys he brought along with him, but they didn't seem so excited about making money online like I was. I remember telling them to pick Lloyd's brain and do everything he does! I would have watched his every move and followed his process if I had that kind of opportunity. But they were interested in something else :o) No, not that!

Hmmm...I couldn't find his web sites, but I DID find him! He is a famous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter, which I knew nothing about. But that didn't help me find out about his success on the Internet. And those two guys, they were his fighters. Ha! That is what held their interest.

Then I hit the motherload! A-HA! I found a link to a video for Lloyd Irvin. There he was, talking about how he learned everything he knew from Ken McCarthy at The System Seminar!

I wasn't sure what The System Seminar was, but I knew I was going! And I did!

I was such a dingbat, I didn't ask Dan Kennedy or Bill Glazer if I could take a picture with them...bonehead move! But you can see I finally got to meet many of my mentors at The System Seminar, and you will find their pictures on this BLOG, including Lloyd's below.

You can see a few of my websites (I don't list them all) under my "About the Author - Adrienne DeVita" link on my BLOG, but going to The System Seminar was a business-changing and friendship building experience.

I won't get into much more detail, but I want to tell you this. If you can find a way to meet like-minded people, you will learn, grow, and become more FOCUSED and very successful.

Technology is always changing, and people say we lose that one-on-one connection with others because of it.

I disagree. Look what that one little e-mail did for me!

Ahhhh, to Tell or Not to Tell?

Is that Really Even a Question!?

If you have read my question and answer page, you are obviously dying to know some of the tools I use to beat out the competition for complete and REALLY accurate keyword research. (I'll bet you don't even know how skewed Overture's free keyword tool is...but you will learn about it for free...now.)

I would not be giving full credit where credit is due if I didn't tell you about "the man behind the keyword curtain," not to mention he and his wife are absolutely the most adorable couple on earth!

His name is Jim Morris, and he is the amazingly helpful President and creator of NicheBot. If you'v ever heard of Overture and WordTracker, then you are only one step away from getting it ALL.

NicheBot INCLUDES the Overture AND WordTracker tools, yet they offer even MORE than both those tools combined! The other two only give you the last 30-days and 100-days of searches on the Internet. What good is that?

How would you like to beat your competition on certain keywords by going behind the scenes and finding out how many people searched for that product or service (keyword) during the entire YEAR! How about a graph that charts it all in an easy-to-view layout!?

Talk about a leg up on the competition. Know WHEN to pay more for advertising and promoting your product or service because you implemented due diligence and found out they only want it in the month of October!

Everyone else can continue to pay for the entire year's worth of advertising, and you will only pay for a month or two and convert more sales!

Most people don't want you to know about NicheBot, and if I didn't think Jim was such an awesome guy, I might just keep this one all to myself! But he deserves the props!

Question: Is this just anothe over-hyped keyword research tool, Adrienne?

Answer: Ha! Eh-hem, excuse me. NO!

Question: Is this guy making a quick buck by giving you what you can get elswhere for free?

Answer: You're killin' me with laughter. Ummmm....NO!

Question: Okay, go ahead and tell me then. I'm listening.

Answer: Hey, don't go to his site. My conscience is already relieved because I'm putting this out there for you. It is your choice to do the watching and learning.

And that's what sets Jim's site apart from all the rest. Want PROOF?

He gives you a TON of literature, explaining how it all works, for FREE before you spend one red cent! Want more? How about watching videos that cost you absolutely NOTHING to learn about how to beat your competition?

Would You Tell a Friend, Please?

No, this article post has nothing to do with Internet Marketing, AdWords, or SEO. I wanted to branch out here and reach those who might not normally see my other web site (BLOG) who can help.

It has always been a passion of mine to help animals, and I currently have 22. I have a recently rescued bunny rabbit named Shadow; 5 rats I rescued (they are adorable!) that were going to be snake food (I do love snakes but I can't feed them); a Chilean Rose tarantula (she's 9 years old!); a bearded dragon; a toad; fish; and beautiful cats.

My dog of 17 years, Pebbles, passed away; as wells as my first cat, Vicious; and my other bearded dragons, Hercules and Aphrodite. My mouse, Stuart, also passed away; my other dog, Lucky, years ago; and my hamster, Ricky.

I also wanted to help those who have struggled or are still struggling through abusive relationships in life. Sharing my own personal past (and pain) might help someone in need, or someone who feels they are going through this alone.

We are all not truly alone, depending upon your belief. I personally believe in The Lord, but everyone has someone, whether they are spiritual or an actual person.
